    Thanks for having me.

    Hey everybody, im new here.

I like the site so far, Ive owned the game since its initial release, just havent had a computer that could play it. but ive started my single player campaign and after ive completed that im going to start some online.

Let me know if anyone has some good strategies for single player, I like to undermind the computer, and use ambush strategy

havn't palyed the campaign much. pretty boring in my opinion. the lackluster story kinda tries to make us all care.

only real games that i ever liked including the story is the halo and half life series. those two games are some of the best!

as for strtegies. there are tons. just be a little more specific

well I beat the UEF campaign, and now i've started on Aeon.  I think m strategy is overwelming numbers, not much can withstand a 200 unit squad of gunships. lol

But sadly enough the AI isn't smart enough or, let's face it, cheap enough to do something like that, so against the AI, who tend to send out units ill equipped to overwhelm base defenses (excluding experimentals), that's pretty good.

As for the campaign, I've found that when you can find a weakness such as a single type of defense or unit(s) -which I'm sure they put in on purpose, exploit it.

And btw, good to have you. The more the merrier.

I like doing the skirmishes for practice the computer on hard is well as far as I'm concerned almost impossible to beat... i have special trouble when it comes to beating the horde AI that son of a *** gets me a lot of the time. im kinda thinking the differnece between the computer and yourself is that a computer isn't limited to one command at a time and just keeps moving to the next step at lightning speed. if anyone has a good way to beat the hordeing AI please tell me XP

    Re: Thanks for having me.

The thing with the AIs is that they didn't make them totally impossible. I have seen them -on numerous occasions, have their ACU just sit and do nothing for minutes on end. And if that's not enough, they rarely move their ACU (intelligently) away from danger. If he's got a task in mind he'll just keep going back into danger.... Idiot. :D

I can see situations in which it could have done a very smart thing but passes up opportunities, an AI will "never" have the ability to make rational decisions and all that good stuff.

But as for beating a hard level AI in SupCom, I would first make sure I have a suitable defensive line (AA, PD, shields, etc.) then, when you're sure that you can defend yourself from the inevitable attack (easier said than done...) then you can plan an attack.
    Turtling can be key.

I like to play against horde AIs on 5x5 maps such as Winter Duel. If you expand fast enough and put pressure on your opponent, soon enough the ACU will come out to construct defenses or something and, easy win. (relatively speaking, of course.)

SupCom does take a bit of the multi-tasking out of it with the ability to queue commands, so that shortens the gap between the AI and player.

    Re: Thanks for having me.

i rarely fight AI. Human opponenets are ebtter in many wasy as they generally change there strategy to cope with whats going on.

The word "Horde" AI kinda gives away how to beat it. just turtle and out tech them. most likely your higher tech will destroy his army even if your greatly outnumbered.
