Is SupCom dying off...?

    Is SupCom dying off...?

    I don't play as often as a lot of people but it seems like SupCom my be on the down turn.  It seems like the last several times I looked for a custom game there were only 3-4 games available.  A month ago there was always more than I could view without scrolling down on the list.

    Does it seem like the game is losing players?  Or is it just me?

    I don't have the game yet but what I have seen on eBay is a good sign for the game as it's still at a high price.

    Games that aren't doing well tend to be going for sale on the cheap, this is still at a good price :)

    That's good to know.  I never would have thought of that for tracking the success of a computer game.

    I would think that if there are a lot of copies of the game on ebay that might give a good sign that the game isn't doing so well.

    Anyways, it seems like we've had a couple good games so who knows...

    There's only about a page of the games for sale on there and a few of them are from Thailand so, it's looking good for tha game.

    I'd imagine that people are trying to get good at the game before wrecking havok on their online stats!

    Yeah might be a good point. I also think a lot of people try to play 1 vs 1 ranked instead of custom games because 1 vs 1 is a smaller scale game. Even if the map is bigger, the max number of units is capped at 500, so there won't be those wicked lags I see on 2vs2 or 3vs3 games with players with slightly weaker computers.

    I really think that's the holdup for SupCom becoming really huge. It just demands SO MUCH from all the computers involved. I wish there was a way to put it in a "lite" mode where the graphics were simplified even more to try to help speed up the game.

    Oh well.

    Have you tried disabling vertical-sync in the video options? My 1.8ghz 512!! mb computer can play comfortably upto 10x10 maps with all the settings at their lowest

    well they had the new expansion so i think that always reawakens a game. even if it has died off my question is is this page dying?
