  • Re: What is an Expiremental Aeon Sacred Assault Bot good against?

Yeah, the armor on the Sacred Assault Bot is definitely one of it's strengths. However, what you gain in armor, you lose in production time. It seems like nowadays Cybran really has the experimentals to beat. I'd much rather a few Spideys supporting my troops than a Sacred Assault Bot. Also, maybe they updated it, but doesn't the Colossus not have ...

  • Re: Finn's Revenge Overview

I actually just played a ranked Finn's game... Pretty clear victory for me, my opponent (forget the name just this instant) obviously wasn't nearly as good as the player Mr Argue played vs. the other day. My main focus was on a constant build strategy. I took a couple eng's and occupied the top and bottom mass islands (because I was Aeon and my ...

  • Ranked game Isis victory vs. Savantas

Just got back from a ranked game versus player Savantas. Pretty good game really. I was Aeon vs. he was Cybran on Fields of Isis. For this game, I didn't want to play an all-out slugfest because I didn't think my Aeon tanks had enough to muster a toe-to-toe battle. Instead, I shored up my front line, and tried my best to focus on a resources game ...

  • Syrtis Major - Ranked action

I just wrapped up a ranked game (I'm almost batting .500! Woo hoo) on Syrtis Major. I've never played the map before, but I actually enjoyed the game (it helps that I won though, right?) A couple things came up along the way:Ranked games take place East and West. I happened to start on the West side. Keep in mind, the starting point is in a ...

  • Is Aeon the dominant force in the game?

Looking through the GPG stats, it seems like one thing is consistently true... The top players in Supreme Commander use Aeon. So that makes me wonder - is Aeon just imbalanced versus Cybran and UEF? I gotta believe that the T1 water-crossing abilities are the reason for most of the overall success. Not only that - but UEF T1 units have a helluva ...

  • Non Aeon war

Me and my boy Phil are about to run a no-Aeon game of the Wilderness. We just won a game against a pretty good adversary, but Aeon provides such a strategic advantage. I'll give an update when I get back from the game. Party, Dave
