Alright - my win streak is 3 so far, but this map is just brutal in ranked games. There's so much open ground to cover that you have to have an almost endless supply of air scouts available just to keep an eye on the game. My opponent was obviously a noob, but even still he surprised me by whipping up T3 Siege bots (Cybran) while I was ...

I just wrapped up a ranked game (I'm almost batting .500! Woo hoo) on Syrtis Major. I've never played the map before, but I actually enjoyed the game (it helps that I won though, right?) A couple things came up along the way:Ranked games take place East and West. I happened to start on the West side. Keep in mind, the starting point is in a ...

Theta Passage
This is a 5x5 map for 2 players only. The dominant landmarks in the game are the mountain range that runs from the south east to the center of the map, which has 2 entry points within it. The other element of note is the small ''civilian city'' of relics in the center of the map (at the end of the mountain range).

1 on 1 map, actually more like a 5 x 3 than a 5x5. This is an absurdly fast game, featuring a few cliffs and choke points. Commander wars out in the middle aren't uncommon.

Finn's Revenge
This map is included in the demo, so you should be used to it! This is a 10x10 map featuring a large land mass surrounded by water, with two small land bridges through the center. On the far edges of the map are two very small islands for a couple mass points.

Seton's Clutch
This 20 x 20 map features two large land masses, cut across by a large valley of water. This is probably the most popular 20 on 20 map in Supreme Commander, since there are a variety of ways to play it. Don't forget about the land mass through the center that can provide a venue for land vehicles. If you've got the balls for it.

Fields of Isis
Probably the most popular multiplayer map for both 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 games in Supreme Commander, Fields of Isis pits force on force through a series of choke points. There's all sorts of different ways to play this one, so be sure to drop your two cents in the boards here.
