The game crashed on you? Damn... Haven't had that happen to me yet.
The trick, as far as I can tell, has to do with the green towers. They can upgrade to 9,000 damage. It's just a question of placement I think. The blue towers are also good for their range. Red is good to start, but after a while it gets to be too hard to keep it upgraded.
